ATM SURVEILLANCE

Recently there is rapid growth in the number of automated teller machines (ATM’s) which can be commonly seen in financial institutions, shopping malls, office complexes etc. With the rise in robberies in bank ATM’s, Banks have got its primary responsibility to safe-guard the customer’s money in an effective way and that can be achieved only through the surveillance systems. A CCTV CAMERA installed in the bank ATM will act as deterrent for the criminals and also the recorded events can be used as a proof of evidence for the post incidence investigations. One of the important features of ATM surveillance is that “Text Overlay Feature” this will help the banks to impose the ATM card number from the recorded CCTV footage. Through those resulting images Banks can centrally search CCTV feeds from numerous remote ATMs which further reduces the time to browse the entire CCTV footage and also gives better control to track fraudulent activities regarding misuse of ATM cards.

The customer who uses his Debit/Credit card inside the ATM machine will always expect that he should keep his ATM PIN as a confidential one because of privacy measures. So CCTV Camera placed inside the ATM machine has the facility of hiding the Keypad through which the customer can safeguard his PIN which is called KEYBOARD MASKING. CCTV cameras can also monitor approaches to the ATM. Doing so provides a greater opportunity to identify someone engaged in illegal activity.
Installing CCTV cameras in entrance and exit point of the ATM’s will always help to identify clear picture of the customer by using it Bank can provide proper evidence for the police investigations to proceed further.

Video Surveillance Systems for School Buses

CCTV cameras for school buses are considered to be an advance technology which is more affordable than ever. Parents as well as the school management feel safer with the presence of video surveillance system since it acts as a proactive measure to improve the school bus safety for the students who are travelling. Installing CCTV cameras with GPS location will help the management to retrieve real-time information regarding the bus speed, breaking, and safety signal activation that includes the video footage of the camera both inside and outside the bus entrance and exit. Apart from all these aspects the students also realize that they are being recorded under video surveillance, which will help to improve their self-behavior on the buses. The
CCTV camera systems also provide liability protection in case there is legal action against the driver.

IPCAMERAS and WIRELESS NETWORKING play a significant role in video surveillance system, since remote reviewing and instant response has become a possible measure through immediate transmit footage facility. Including with all these safety measures the schools can also issue RFID (Radio-frequency identification) cards to the students. This system consists of a school photo ID card affixed to a lanyard that should be worn by the student. The ID has a RFID chip embedded in it which includes a digital number assigned to each student. When the student enters the school or pass beneath a doorway, the tag ID is read, recorded and sent to a server in the school’s administrative office that further helps to monitor the activity of a student inside the school.

School officials throughout the nation are held accountable by parents to ensure student safety on the buses, and by using video surveillance this security can be assured. Video surveillance systems are considered to be a long-term investment for school districts that must be periodically maintained and adjusted. If they are used properly, a surveillance system can promote student safety, prevent discipline problems, and deter vandalism.
